Hi Molly, I just found your blog and am glad I have. I was recently diagnosed with Lyme, Bartonella and Babseia (sp?) after nearly 15 years of chronic illness. I am looking for medical/physiological information on esophageal spasms in relation to the Bartonella co-infection. Do you know where one could begin to look for this kind of info? Holly

Holly, I’m glad you’ve found me too! I’m always happy to reach out to others in our ever-growing (sadly) Lyme community. I am so sorry that you’ve been ill for so long. What a long, long road to travel. I know I was thrilled when I was finally diagnosed – only because I finally had an answer to what was wrong with my body. I had proof, and a MD willing to help me. I hope you receive the treatment you need and find the support to help you along the way!
As far as that specific information… I’m afraid I’m pretty clueless when it comes to research. I would suggest you join the Ning community “Lyme Friends”. You can find it at http://www.lymefriends.org – the community there was a HUGE help to me in the beginning of my treatment, however I haven’t been there in months. Somebody there may have the information you need, or could point you in the correct direction. Otherwise, check out the website Lymenaide. They’re a wealth of information as well!!
Best of luck to you. Hope to continue hearing from you!
